James Lovick

James's work is best described as 'cinematically realised human stories’ with an aesthetic that permeates through to his commercial and branded content work.

James is a multi-skilled young director and cinematographer from London. His work is best described as ‘cinematically realised human stories’, with documentary film making at the heart of his visual style. He began his career in feature documentaries for television, shooting on several high profile series before his career path led him into the world of commercials and branded content.

He’s filmed in locations around the world as diverse as New Zealand and the Cook Islands to Indonesia and Africa. His latest documentary work includes films for Dorset Cereals, eBay and Charles Schwab. On top of that he’s also an aerial drone operator… we did say he was multi-skilled!

In contrast to his documentary work, his portfolio also extends to food and beverages. His documentary visual style translates across to his food cinematography, creating beautifully captured and technical images whilst retaining that real edge.

Other work has also included films for The World Wildlife Fund, Elephant Gin, Strava Fitness, Sony, Dove and Triumph as well as content series for Superdry and Converse.
