Her first experience with film and animation was at the age of 6 when she made props for an animated music video her father was directing at the time. In 2009 she decided to explore different aspects of filmmaking by attending the University of the Arts London and graduated in 2012 with a degree in Film and Television.
Her passion for story and image has led her to explore different techniques of animation and she is always trying to find new ways in pushing her limits by realising ambitious projects. She creates ads, films, branded content and graphics for TV shows. She has worked with various production companies for clients such as Ryvita, M&S, Talk Talk, the Olympics, Accessorize and many more. Irida’s previous short animation film “The meaning of Life” was screened at 11 festivals and gained 5 awards.
