As a result of the change in consumer behaviour brought about by the COVID-19 national lockdown Sacla took the decision to advertise on TV for the first time in 6 years and chose us to help them create their ad.

Sacla wanted to get the ad ‘on air’ as quickly as possible to capitalise on the momentum of people cooking together more at home as a result of the lockdown. We needed to inspire people to choose Sacla whether making pasta, a midweek treat meal, a snack or dinner for the family.

We moved at breakneck speed and got on air from brief in less than 8 weeks. We utilised stock footage, existing material and the recently relaxed workplace lockdown rules to safely film some additional shots as well as a super catchy commercial music track to create a bright, simple and effective TV spot for a fraction of the cost usually associated with TV advertising and in a quarter of the time.

In addition to the main 30” TV spot we were also able to create an additional four 10” TV spots all of which are going out across the UK TV network including being run during 2020’s Great British Bake Off.
