Saga

Saga wanted to produce a series of social first films to promote their new offer of fixed price car and home insurance. The films showed various character's evolution of passion, how they started an activity or hobby as a child and how that has developed through the years and into their adult lives. We took a mixed media approach to the project filming on both Red Monstro and Canon Super 8 film cameras to emphasise the evolution of our characters through time.

Saga wanted to produce a series of social first films to promote their new offer of fixed price car and home insurance. Working alongside the team at VCCP we produced a set of quirky vignettes which showed a simple passage of time by using different camera formats and different scenarios to emphasise an evolution of passion over time.

Working closely with trusted collaborator DOP Chris Fergusson, we shot on both Super8 Film and R3D Digital Cameras to clearly differentiate between the two time periods with in-house Director Rob Pitman directing the storyboarded scenarios with both children and adults. To hone the transitions between the camera format changes, we worked with rostered partner Fix Post to help grade and maximise the use of both cameras.
